Setting out to capture the last traditional fishing dock in Kuwait City. I explored over three mornings with my camera, meeting the people and trying to understand how they work and live.

Docks all around the world are full of a deep network of people.
This is Mahmoud, he’s a fisherman working at the docks. I captured him against a backdrop of netting, as I wanted to show the landscape around him. Landscapes shape people and can tell you a lot about a person, so I think by capturing space around the portrait, you get a more in-depth look at his way of life.
Ashoour a fisherman working at Al-Shamlan Port. Originally from Egypt, near Alexandria, he had been living and working in Kuwait for 2 years at the time of this photograph.
